How is Suomenlinna conserved?
Conservator-restorer Riitta Karjalainen

Conservator Riitta Karjalainen is happy with the seamless cooperation at the sites: “This house takes four years. The work is highly comprehensive and really demands presence. Every now and then someone finds something exceptional, like old construction parts or wall paper, and I rush to see it immediately – even from another site if necessary – so as not to halt others’ work because of the find."
