Fitness manege

The fitness manege is a versatile, modern sports venue located in a renovated artillery manege. The manege is an excellent place for hosting sport-themed days and courses for 10 to 80 people.

The manege can be booked from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. During the evenings, only a part of the facilities is available. At weekends, the house can be booked from morning till evening.

During the summer season, the manege can be rented for periods of several days. You can book the whole house or only a part of the facilities, or order a complete programme. The fitness manege can also be rented for parties and sports events, class reunions and sauna evenings. It also serves the residents of Suomenlinna.

Facilities

The spacious sports hall can be divided into smaller sections when necessary. In addition, the house hosts a gym built on two floors as well as spacious changing rooms and sauna facilities.

How to get there

The Helsinki City Transport ferry operates to the main pier throughout the year, and from there the manege is about 500 metres away. The waterbus stops at the Visitor Centre pier during summer, and the manege is about 300 metres from there.

Accessibility

The route from the main pier to the fitness manege is for the most part accessible with wheelchair. A ramped route leads to the main entrance along the façade of the building. The stairs are equipped with a handrail on one side.

There is a stepless route to the sports hall. The changing rooms are equipped with an accessible toilet with unobstructed space on the other side of the toilet seat. The accessible washing facilities are equipped with an alarm system for calling for help when required. The shower rooms are spacious. The gym is on two floors, but there is no lift.
