Restaurant Café Chapman
The restaurant-café is situated at a central location in Tykistölahti bay, near the Visitor Centre and the waterbus pier. The restaurant is open throughout the year.
The atmospheric restaurant hall is built into the Traverse Adlerfelt, which was built in 1770. The terrace, surrounded by walls, is a popular lunch and coffee spot. Café Chapman also offers lunch during winter and can be booked throughout the year. The restaurant seats up to 70 people.
Chapman Cottage
There is a separate log building on the restaurant terrace which seats approximately 100 people. The yard terrace can be covered, allowing for 200–300 guests per event. Catering services can also be arranged for other rented venues in Suomenlinna.
How to get there
The Helsinki City Transport ferry operates to the main pier throughout the year, and from there the restaurant is about 500 metres away. The waterbus stops at the Visitor Centre pier during summer, and the restaurant is about 50 metres from there.
Accessibility
The entrance is almost on ground level, and there is an accessible toilet in the café.
